Bleed, stock and finish: the small artwork decisions that decide whether your cards feel premium or forgettable.
Your business card is often the first physical impression your brand makes, so the artwork behind it matters. Start with a 3mm bleed on every edge, keep critical text 5mm inside the trim line, and supply your file as a print-ready PDF in CMYK at 300dpi.
Choose your stock with intent: a 400gsm board with matte laminate feels substantial and resists fingerprints, while an uncoated stock takes a pen beautifully for handwritten notes. Avoid tiny reversed-out text below 7pt, outline your fonts, and always request a digital proof before the full run.
Follow these basics and your cards will arrive crisp, legible and unmistakably yours — ready to hand out with confidence.
